Alike

A matriarch or patriarch?
The outcome is yet stark.
How about right and left?
Different hands, still theft.
In all shapes and colours;
lust for power over others.
By whichever given name,
slavery remains the same.
Either overted or coverted,
freedom is still subverted.
Not within either extreme;
balance is found between.
Any rape is still too much;
are other peaks not such?
Let’s now forsake the lies,
as to rise anew, truly wise!

Motion

Glorious mischief be a-foot;
humanity is in for a re-boot!

Worn shoes unfit for dance;
the transition is our chance.

To be truly freedom bound,
with feet on sacred ground.

So come all Souls still wild:
stride with the turning tide!

Depth

False ego, parasite, program and akin;
we cannot lie to those dwelling within.

For what is on our minds they can tell;
our thought they know intimately well.

So our hope does not rest with escape,
rather in changing the inner landscape.

To embrace a deeper truth as our way;
one so profound that we can truly say:

“Even as I shall dance closer to death,
I choose to welcome life’s raw breath.”

Belief

Ideologies, what a curse upon humanity;
half-truths wrapped around full insanity.

Dogmatic religion, scientism or new age;
such freedom to pick your preferred cage.

Classism, speciesism, sexism and racism;
divide and conquer, the good old schism.

Rule by communism, capitalism, fascism;
faces of fear, colours of one dismal prism.

Environmentalism calling us all a cancer;
for self-loathing is surely the best answer.

Too many to name and all quite the same;
confusion and animosity is a grand game.

Alas, with free speech one risks to offend;
yet so we must, for there is much to mend.

Remembrance

By the deeds unworthy of our souls,
do we dig shame’s engulfing holes.

Still, we must let our integrity show;
do we fall to despair or dare to grow?

Forgiveness may or may not be earned;
redemption is within the lesson learned.

Through this pain we recall our vow:
to never again such betrayal allow.

May we bear this remembrance well;
the choice between life and living hell.

Sing

Come my friend, sing for us your song;
Reawaken the hearts so we may all be strong.
Far or near, still right here… we will hear.

Come my friend, sing for us your song;
Remind us of what is right and what is wrong.
When we can see, we will be… truly free.

Come my friend, sing for us your song;
The truth unfolding has been within all along.
All that you bring, let it ring… come sing.
